Packraft Safety and Rescue workshop. This is a training opportunity for both beginners and experienced packrafters and aims to give you the confidence to paddle whitewater rivers we will encounter during the meetup. The course will be in English with French and Dutch ‘subtitles’. Saturday & Sunday boating.

Soca River, Slovenia  

The European Packrafting Meet-up has always had the core elements of River Conservation combined with Packraft Safety and Technique Training. Workshops typically include River Safety, Whitewater rescue, Paddle Skills, Expedition planning, Bikerafting, repair etc. Workshops are free. On all days there will be opportunities for paddlers to get together in small groups to paddle.

An introduction to packrafting, bike-rafting, multiple descents from class 1 to 4, a concert… It doesn’t matter if you are a novice or an experienced paddler, come and meet other members of the packrafting community and let’s have fun together on and off the water! The event is open to all and the choice of activities is up to you!

The APA Roundup welcome packrafters of all abilities to come together for community, learning, and conservation. Programs include safety talks, repair workshops, Conservation Speakers, and Packraft Prom.

The 2024 Festival included: Creek Race, the Guil Gorge Chrono on the Combe de Chateau Queyras, the Rallye Run & Ride du bas Guil or the Sup Challenge, the Grande Descente in festival mode; the Testival and the equipment tests, clinics/workshops, An exhibitor village offering to test equipment (kayaks, SUP board, paddles etc...), and above all good humor! It's an event that grows at its own pace every year and that suits us well.

The Packraft Tournament – Nanxun Ancient Town Fun Race, part of MRS official brand support activities, stands out as the highlight of the annual packraft water sports events and a grand gathering for MRS packraft enthusiasts every year.

Landeck, Austria
(Multiple Rivers)

Landeck is virtually surrounded by medium-heavy whitewater streams and rivers with very different characters. Depending on the water level, the paddling sections can be adapted and tailored to the groups. Thus, we have a perfect starting point not to be dependent on precipitation, as some sections run all year round or are regulated by a power plant and are always paddable at certain times.

All and any craft welcome but be aware we will try to convert you to packrafting! Guided river sections, introductory courses, and community events. In 2024, “We estimated close to 100 paddlers from far and wide turned up to share the stoke. We had paddlers from Perth, Cairns, Northern NSW, Brisbane, Wollongong, Newcastle, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne!”

Activities including workshops, presentations, and short courses. The usual group paddles will be on offer to take advantage of the many river sections nearby, including the mighty Buller and tributaries.
The location should make for short travel days, as we have so many sections available nearby.
